Who we are
Kensington-Factreton Meals on Wheels is a registered non profit organization operative in the marginalized communities of Kensington, Factreton and Maitland in the Western Cape. It was formed as a result of abject prverty and frailty. Many of our senior citizens are denied the basic right of one decent meal a day.
In many instances they have nedglected or abandoned by family members of our society. Kensington-Factreton Meals on Wheels was formed to address the plight of our poverty stricken senior citizens who were going hungry due to lack of financial support.
We operate in poor communities that requite financial assistance in order to improve and the standard of quality of life.
The Principal aim of the project is to promote the interests and well-being of the target community

Our Appeal
We receive an annual grant of R420 000 from the department of Social Development.
Sustaining the work of the organisation is our greatest challenge. Ken-fac Meals on Wheels require R700 000 per annum just to cover our daily requirements for sustainability to survive. We are responsible to aquire the shortage of R280 000 through fund raising and donation to cover our day to day expenses. We also welcome any goods and equipments that we can use in the project.
